    It just works

I purchased the Eco ProFessional 2 for my Nikon D500. I use GPS coordinates for my nature photography to report sightings to iNaturalist. I used to use Nikon's SnapBridge through Bluetooth, but got tired of the challenges I faced with it. After the initial acquisition of 30-40 seconds, this just works. I find the location accuracy has been quite good in the few hundred pictures I have taken since I got it. It was a bit pricey at around $200 US, but I am happy with my purchase.

    Great Addition

GPS works perfectly with my new Z8. I've used di-GPS products on previous Nikon cameras for over a decade and find them accurate and reliable.

Unfortunately, the Z8 uses the D800 type 10 pin connector which makes the GPS stick out a bit. Nikons problem.

    Would recommend without reservation.

    Speed matters

This unit usually produces valid fixes quite quickly, using the saved last position as a hint when first powered on. Much lower camera power consumption than SnapBridge on a phone. I would love to see a smaller version of this that omits the 10-pin socket, since it could be less vulnerable to damage. But this is great for geotagging my wild plant photos.

    Much needed addition to D850

I don’t write down my location when shooting so having geolocation in the data is what I wanted and this little device gets the job done.
